Red Crescent Hospital

Red Crescent Hospital in Cairo is a governmental hospital specializing in orthopedic and accident diseases, and is located in the heart of Cairo on Ramses Street.

Red Crescent Hospital was established in 1940, with funding from the Red Crescent Society, the Ministry of Health and donations.

At first, the hospital was affiliated with the Red Crescent Society (which still bears its name until today), then in 1964 its affiliation was transferred to the therapeutic institution in Cairo.

The hospital was headed at that time by Dr. Mohamed Kamel Hussein, one of the pioneers of orthopedic surgery in Egypt.

In 1999, a republican decree was issued to include the hospital in the General Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers.

Red Crescent Hospital has a distinguished team of consultants and health care specialists with multiple experiences who are able to treat and follow up on all pathological conditions and medical problems, even the most complex ones.

It also uses the latest medical devices and equipment with international technologies in the field of health care.

The emergency service at the Red Crescent Hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the pharmacy operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
